Kyupodo is a Japanese letterpress studio run by Souhei Sakai, who inherited the craft from his grandfather Katsuro Sakai. Known for its playful, slightly mysterious designs and imaginative storytelling, the brand produces paper goods—postcards, notebooks, letter pads—that often evoke fantasy or travel themes, complete with appendages like maps, tickets, or narrative details. Their work is printed in Kyoto and frequently uses Life Co., Ltd. paper; it balances craftsmanship, nostalgia, and a touch of the surreal.
