The Aesthetic Union • Print for Peace Cards

The makers of this lovely card, Eyal Eliezer and James, met online after James was led down a rabbit hole of beautiful illustrations that Eyal had done. After reaching out online, they decided to make this simple letterpress printed greeting card in order to share the friendship and love that these doves represent.

The Aesthetic Union, established in 2013, is a contemporary letterpress studio, workshop space, and print shop based in the Mission District of San Francisco. Located at 555 Alabama Street in the Heath Ceramics building, it offers both handcrafted stationery and paper goods — greeting cards, art prints, stickers — and custom letterpress printing. More than a retail shop, it's a creative hub: people can take workshops, rent studio space and presses, observe the vintage machinery in action, and collaborate with resident artists. The Aesthetic Union strives to preserve the craft of letterpress in a digital age, combining aesthetics, texture, and hands‑on artistic expression.
